Who Are We?

"Bib Overall Boys Society" - The "BOBS" is a non-profit group that is organized for fun and charity. Chapters are being created in many areas. A chapter may already exist or one can be established in your local area.  (See the Qualifications To Become A "BOBS" Member below) Our founding fathers are based out of Mesa AZ.

The following are the Qualifications to become a "BOBS" member:

Bib Overall Boys Society “

a.k.a. - The “ BOBS

******************************************

Qualifications to become a “ BOBS “ Member:

1) You must be over 50 years of age.

* Self explanatory

AND

2) Must perform some sort of charity work each year.

* This can consist of any number of things such as:

Helping an elderly person with yard work, taking them to the store or medical visits, and the like, or visiting with the elderly who have lost a loved one or are lonely. In my case, I am fumbling thru trying to be the website coordinator for the “BOBS“.

* If you are able, some more aggressive projects might be:

Provide free labor towards rebuilding a deck, wheel chair ramp, painting, or the like.

Of coarse these ideas only scratch the surface, you can perform any idea you may have as long as it is considered some sort of charity. Let your imagination be your guide.

3) You must register with Chapter (1) one of the “BOBS“.

* This can be accomplished by E-Mailing the information required on the registration form at the end of this article to the “BOBS” at :

thebobs@the-bobs.com

The information provided will be completely confidential and either a new or an established Chapter Number will be assigned to you.

4) Dress Code consists of the following:

          A) Bib Overalls

          B) Straw Hat

          C) Red western handkerchief

          D) Pocket watch with chain is optional.

Other notes about membership are:

1) As a “ BOB Chapter “, you are your own boss. You need not answer to any other chapter. If you would like help from another chapter, such as additional labor, ideas, expertise, or the like, we encourage you to ask. If possible, each chapter should help another. We encourage information about your accomplishments to be published in the “BOBS” website.

2) Try to keep your chapter to a maximum of approximately 20 members. The reason is that when you have your social time, such as breakfast at the local restaurant, the facility will be able to accommodate you.

3) Have contact with as many of the “BOBS” in your chapter as possible at least once a month. Either by telephone or personal contact. ( We want to look after each other) When possible, personal contact is always fun by dressing in the “BOBS” fashion and frequenting a local restaurant. It seems everyone there wants to know what is going on and the restaurant manager/owner is always happy to see you as it is good for their business.4)

At this point in time, the “BOBS” website is open to any established chapter to use. The only requirement is that you submit your information to the website coordinator, who will review and determine if it is acceptable for the website. Your article will be included in the website whenever possible. If you would like to establish your own website, please coordinate your efforts with the existing website coordinator thru the “BOBS” website.

5) Check the “BOBS” website frequently for updates on all of our chapters activities and adventures. You may contact the website thru the “BOBS” BLOG or by E-Mail. Please keep in mind that the BLOG can be viewed by anyone who accesses the wed site, however the E-Mails are private. Use your own discursion.

IF YOU LIKE:

HAVING FUN, HELPING OTHERS, ENJOYING LIFE, GIVING BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY, THEN ……………….

…………. CONSIDER: JOINING OR STARTING A “ BOBS “ IN YOUR AREA !
